Your files, kept in one place
Cloud Storage & Cloud Drive is an app from Fuzon Apps, for Android phones and iPhone, for keeping your files and photos in the cloud. Instead of everything living on one phone, you upload what matters to your cloud storage, sort it into folders, and share it with other people when you need to.
It suits anyone whose phone is filling up with photos, documents and downloads, and anyone who wants their important files kept somewhere other than the phone in their pocket. Phones get lost, dropped and replaced. The photos from a family holiday or the scan of an important document shouldn't go with them.
The app is free to download from Google Play and the App Store, with optional in-app purchases, and you can also sign in to your account on the web. This page covers what it does, the moments it helps with, how to get started, and plain advice on getting the most out of cloud storage.
Made for moments like these
-
Your camera roll keeps growing
Years of photos and videos add up. Keep copies of the ones you care about in the cloud, so they're not tied to the space left on one phone.
-
You're changing phones
Files kept in cloud storage aren't tied to your old handset, so they're there to come back to when you set up the next one.
-
Someone needs a file from you
Pass on the photos from a birthday or send a document to the person who needs it, straight from the app.
-
Your files are all over the place
Bring files from different places together in one cloud storage, and sort them into folders that make sense to you.
What it does
-
Store your files and photos in the cloud
Upload the photos, videos, documents and other files you want to keep, and they're saved to your cloud storage, somewhere other than your phone. It's a natural home for the things that would be hardest to replace: family photos, receipts and warranties, school forms and work files.
-
Organise with folders
Create folders and sort your files into them, so a holiday album, a set of school forms or a work project each has its own place. A clear structure makes things quicker to find.
-
Share with other people
When someone needs a file, share it from the app instead of hunting for it on your phone. A simple way to pass on photos after an event or send a document.
-
Free to download
Get the app from Google Play or the App Store at no cost. If you want more from it, optional in-app purchases are available through the store you got it from.
-
Install the app
Get Cloud Storage & Cloud Drive from Google Play on an Android phone, or from the App Store on an iPhone. It's free to download.
-
Open it and follow the set-up
Open the app and follow the steps on screen to get going.
-
Upload your first files
Start with the photos and files you'd least like to lose, and upload them to your cloud storage.
-
Sort and share
Make folders for the things you keep, and share files with people when they need them.
Phone storage or cloud storage?
Most people use both. Here's how keeping a file only on your phone compares with keeping it in cloud storage.
| Situation | Only on your phone | In cloud storage |
|---|---|---|
| The phone is lost or broken | Files kept only on that phone can be lost with it. | Files in cloud storage are kept separately from the phone. |
| You change phones | Files have to be moved across to the new phone. | Files in the cloud aren't tied to one handset. |
| Your photo library grows | Every photo and video takes up room on the phone. | The files you upload are held in your cloud storage. |
| Someone needs a file | You find it on your phone and send it. | Share it from the app. |
A good rule of thumb: the phone for what you use every day, cloud storage for what you want to keep.
A short guide to keeping files in the cloud
Decide what to keep
Start with the files that would be hardest to replace: family photos and videos, scanned documents, receipts and warranties, and the school and work files you’d need again. Those are worth keeping somewhere other than one phone. Things you can download again whenever you like, such as apps or music from a streaming service, usually don’t need a second home.
Give your folders simple names
A folder structure only helps if you can remember it. Keep top-level names short and obvious, like Photos 2026, House, Car, Work and School, and add a folder for a trip, an event or a project inside them when it needs one. Putting the date first, as in 2026-10 Margaret River, keeps folders in order.
Name files so you can find them later
Your camera gives photos names like IMG_4821, which tell you nothing six months later. When you upload something important, give it a clear name that says what it is and when it’s from, like 2026-03 Car insurance renewal or Year 5 excursion form. Clear names and simple folders together mean you can find a file in seconds instead of scrolling through hundreds.

Make uploading a habit
Cloud storage works best when it’s kept up to date. Upload new photos straight after an event, while you still remember which ones matter, or set a monthly reminder to catch up. A few minutes regularly saves a long clean-up later.
Keep personal and work files apart
If you keep both personal and work files, give each its own top-level folder. It keeps family photos away from documents you share with colleagues, and makes it much harder to send the wrong file to the wrong person.
Tidy up once in a while
Every few months, look through your cloud storage and clear out what you no longer need: duplicate photos, blurry shots, old drafts and expired documents. A tidy space is quicker to browse, and the files that matter stay easy to see.
Share with care
Before you share, check you’ve picked the right file and the right person. Think about what’s inside it: photos can show where you live or where your children go to school, and documents can include account numbers or addresses. Share only what the other person needs.
Use Wi-Fi for big uploads
Photos and videos can be large. Uploading a big batch over Wi-Fi saves your mobile data, which matters after a holiday with hundreds of photos. If you’re on mobile data, check your plan’s allowance first.
Keep your phone locked and your passwords private
Lock your phone with a PIN, pattern or fingerprint, and use a password you don’t use anywhere else. Never share your password with anyone, including people who contact you claiming to be support. If you sell or give away a phone, sign out of your accounts and reset it first.
Check before you delete anything from your phone
If you plan to remove files from your phone after uploading them, open your cloud storage first and check they’re there and open properly. Only then delete the copies on the phone.
Keep more than one copy of what really matters
For files you truly can’t lose, keep more than one copy, for example in cloud storage and on a computer or an external drive. No single place should be the only home for something irreplaceable.
If you’re moving to a new Android phone, Smart Switch can copy your data across, and for anything else, our support team is an email away.
